How we measure
Every hour we query the official YouTube API (YouTube Data API v3): the Trending list of each country, the live streams with the biggest audience and the public statistics of channels and videos.
We show only official YouTube data, exactly as YouTube publishes it: subscribers, views, uploaded videos, likes, comments and live viewers. Our rankings simply sort them; we don't calculate or estimate figures of our own.
Country: the one each channel declares on YouTube (or the one our team assigns if it doesn't). City: YouTube doesn't publish it; our team assigns it.
Under YouTube's rules, we don't keep any channel's data for more than 30 days.
YouTube rounds the subscriber count of large channels to 3 digits (for example, 1.23M).
Privacy
We only use public YouTube data. More details in the privacy policy. We use YouTube API Services: see the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service.
